This is when it all began...
Our origins trace back to Brzeg. Today, the town has almost forty thousand residents.
We launched the production of caramels and dragées. It was the moment when we started a journey
full of adventures and flavours!
These are the first two important episodes in our tasty history!
We got on board the now-famous “Matylda” fudge and the super healthy sesame halva.
Our hearts melted when it became possible to start the production of chocolate and dragées.
A breakthrough year in our history!
We were the only company in Poland to start the production of chewing gum in the form of cubes.
Two years later, we started to offer chewing gum in the form of sticks, manufactured using a
production line of the Japanese company Lotte.
We said: full steam ahead, and she joined us! The one and only: CHOCOLATE.
Between 1975 and 1976, we started producing chocolate candies.
And it was one of the sweetest decisions we made.
In the 1980s, the production of the legendary marshmallows began.
A family of delicious, light marshmallows wrapped in a layer of crumbly chocolate proudly came on
board.
It is no coincidence that today we know them as a sweet family treat called the “Mleczko Familijne.”
At the beginning of 1993, the privatization process of the company began.
In March, the Odra staff incorporated a limited liability company. In May, it was entered into the
Commercial Register.
We grew stronger and we were eager to do more.
Hip, hip, hurra!
On 1 February 1994, the company started operating as Przedsiębiorstwo Wyrobów Cukierniczych
“Odra” Sp. z o.o. in Brzeg.
With this name on our flag, we can conquer the world!
Adventures are never enough...
And our crew was joined by "Fructo" drops and "Mini" caramels. Although small in body - their hearts
and insides are really something special!
27 June 1998
PWC "Odra" Sp. z o.o. was transformed into a joint stock company by a resolution of the
Shareholders' Meeting.
And the sweet journey continues...
It is unbelievable
that it has been over 10 years since this unique meeting took place…
The soft and fluffy foam met the juiciness of fruit jelly and everything was covered with a layer of
delicate chocolate.
The production of the one and only: DUETKI OPOLANKI began.
The wide waters of flavours and aromas have no secrets from us.
We have a really skilled and delightful crew. Under the captain's eye the department of marshmallows, caramels, chocolate candies and sesame halves works perfectly. And although we have been sailing for 75 years, we never have enough! We want to keep growing and discover new flavours. We want to keep up to date, actively participate in changes that take place in the world around us and follow current trends.
And above it all, we want to share this closeness with you.
